I wake up almost every morning feeling so groggy and fatigued.
I am tired of it. I want ENERGY. So I have decided to try and new lifestyle. This is not a change to lose weight, if I do, I do--Great! But I want ENERGY. I want energy so I can work out. I want energy to play with my child. I want energy so I can enjoy the activities I like doing.
I want to be able to wake up in the morning without the temptation to press the snooze button.
I have done some research and I have piqued about going vegetarian/ vegan. I love meat, but I want to try something different. This is not about animal rights or anything like that, I just want to live a life of quality. I would love to grow my own garden one day and eat veggies and fruits right then and there. Of course, I am not gonna go from one extreme to the next. I will just be setting myself up for failure. It will be a gradual process. My main goal is to consume a lot more veggies and fruits and eat fish and eggs. I don't think I can give up shrimp or any other seafood. Nonetheless, I want to limit the intake of red meat. I also want to stay away from chicken because our poultry is injected with all these hormones and other junk that makes me wary about what I am eating. I would eat organic chicken but that is just not budget friendly.
I don't want to be tempted to go to the drive thru's. So I need to stop being lazy and actually PREPARE food. And if we do go out to eat, I'll have to adapt accordingly. I don't want those chocolate cravings anymore.
I just want to eat without worrying. Eating more vegetables, fruits, nuts and cacao may help with that.
I want to be healthy. I want my child to imitate me and be healthy too.
I want to set a great example for her.
I have already talked to my husband about this lifestyle transition and he is on board, too.
My husband has always been adventurous and willing to try new things. He recently said, "I wish we had enough money to eat nothing BUT produce."
That put a smile on my face. We will make it work.
What really inspired me was this woman. She is 70 years old and does not look or act like it.

So, this blog is dedicated to my journey.
